Well here it starts ! I have wanted for a long time to have a website where I can host my most recent coding projects or some of my photographs. I have in the past tried building websites by coding them, using css, html and javascript, but there is a ton of learning to do and the balance of “learning new things / getting things done” is not worth it.
I have decided to go with wordpress, why?
- It’s easy to use
- Half of the web is using it
- It’s open source
In order to get basic knowledge of how to use this, I completed the training “WordPress for Beginners: Create Your Own WordPress Website”1 on udemy. It’s a 10 hour class and it helped me learn the basics.
I still want to keep the website simple to focus on the content. But I am enjoying the process and learning a lot.
